Schools for Advanced Studies (S.A.S.)

Porter Middle School S.A.S is designed gifted and high-achieving students in grades 6,7,  and 8.  The Academic Program offers differentiation with depth and complexity for students in accelerated classes.  The curriculum is designed to help students develop critical thinking skills, explore technological advancement, and creativity. Students at Porter S.A.S. enjoy dedicated and enthusiastic teachers within an interdisciplinary curriculum.  Our School is a California Distinguished School.

Educational Philosophy
Porter Middle School S.A.S. provides a rigorous academic environment in which students of ethnically diverse backgrounds can grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Students build on character and are assisted in achieving their maximum potential through the use of innovative and proven instructional methods.
