Uniform and Dress Code Policy

The Los Angeles Unified School District recognizes that student dress and hair support students’ rights to free expression within guidelines of appropriateness and learning environments.

The Local School Leadership Council has approved the use of the student uniform and dress code to promote student responsibility and equity. Students at Porter Middle School are expected to always adhere to the schools’ uniform and/or dress code policy. Students who are found to be out of uniform and/or safety dress will be required to cover, remove, or change non-complying clothing.
